Publishing in online academic journals or trade magazines can take you outside the traditional comfort zone for authors! Graphic design, HTML coding, and working with databases are just a few of the elements of digital writing you may encounter when you leave the safe haven of traditional print journals. In this session, we'll dissect several online publications, walk through the processes and dynamics of digital publishing, and talk about tools and resources to support digital writing work. Dànielle DeVoss teaches professional writing in MSU's Dept. of Writing, Rhetoric, and American Cultures.
